Open year-round, the Pueblo Zoo is located within City Park in Pueblo, Colorado. Visitors, including those using strollers or wheelchairs, enjoy an easy stroll through beautifully landscaped grounds that lead to Serengeti Safari, North American Grasslands, the Australian Outback, and an Asian Adventure. There is a tropical rain forest to visit and penguins to watch “flying” underwater. A shipwreck journey around the world is available in the Islands of Life building.
Children meet friendly farm animals in the Pioneer Ranch and watch northern river otters swim and frolic underwater. World of Color opens in summer 2009.
Home to over 400 animals of 130 species, the Zoo is managed by the Pueblo Zoological Society and accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association (AZA). Please follow these links to information on education programs, species conservation, and special events. |
